Tedashii & Flame - Make War
"Make War" by Tedashii and Flame featuring a John Piper sermon. It's about being a passive, worldly Christian and needing to wake up to reality of sin and make war with it. Live for God!
You unfaithful people! Don't you know that love for this [evil] world is hatred toward God? Whoever wants to be a friend of this world is an enemy of God. James 4:4
Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 1 John 2:15
"World" here refers to un-Godliness, the un-Godly ways of the world which are antitheses to God's will and desire for mankind. Christians are not to live for themselves, but for God. Christians are not to adhere to the unGodly views, attitudes and behaviors of those who don't have God in their hearts and lives, who don't know His Word. Christians are to live for God, to live by His Word and His will for their lives, pleasing Him, serving Him as their true Lord (master of their life) and Savior (of their life). Being a Christian doesn't mean to just have some kind of vague faith in God and to live like everyone else in the world. It's about repenting of our sins and putting our faith in Jesus as our Savior, who died for our sins (that's what saves us), and once we are saved to actually live for Him in our lives, our hearts, mind and body in love and truth, obedience to God. If we are saved then we shouldn't be living a worldly lifestyle and we need to turn from it. We should be different than everyone else or something is wrong. Jesus said: ""If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross daily, and follow me." Luke 9:23. God loves us dearly.
