Relive the Emotions
http://HeartChanger.com ....... http://LivingWaters.com
Do you ever consider the reason for your coming to the Savior? Was there a thorough knowledge of sin? Where did it come from? Try to relive the emotions of the day of your conversion. Did the Law condemn you? Did it send you to the cross? What part did your conscience play in your salvation? Did it suddenly come alive, or had it been speaking to you for some time? What do you think was your greatest sin? Were you afraid of God? Was there a knowledge of future punishment? Most of all, think of what would have happened to you if you had died in your sins. Then express your gratitude to God for that cross, where His great love was poured out for you, and let it motivate you to do His will and reach the lost. There goes another minute. Gone forever. Go share your faith while you still have time.

Statement about My Blog
Just wanted to state the obvious and apologize that I've been behind on blogging for a while due to the extreme busy-ness of my life currently, and it might be the same in the coming months. However, I will probably continue to post from time to time as I am able to find the free time to come across some interesting and informative videos, articles and music. I hope that anyone who subscribes to my blog or happens to stumble upon it from the Internet will find something of interest or inspiration on my blog. Thank you and God bless.

Relient K - Interstate Love Song
Covering the Stone Temple Pilots. This isn't a straight-up Christian song, but it's covered by Relient K who is a Christian band and I like the song. This song is included on their covers album called ‘Is For Karaoke’ which was just released back in October.
Website: http://relientk.com/
iTunes: http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/is-for-karaoke-pt.-2/id466863974
Speaking of this song, however, the Christian band ApologetiX also covered it back in the early 90's closer to the time of the original song, but the band actually made up new Christian-themed lyrics for it and changed the title to 'InYerFace Love Song.' It was released onto their 'Ticked' album and can be purchased here: http://www.apologetix.com/music/album.php?id=8.
There is also a website that I recently discovered called Who Sampled where you can listen to a bunch of cover songs, including ApologetiX's cover-version: http://www.whosampled.com/cover/view/43015/ApologetiX-InYerFace%20Love%20Song_Stone%20Temple%20Pilots-Interstate%20Love%20Song/

ApologetiX - Young as You Are
ApologetiX re-visions Nirvana's "Come as You Are." This is not an anti-Kurt Cobain or an anti-Nirvana song, and it is not out to mock Kurt. It's an anti-suicide song and it is emphasizing the Gospel message which is simply this: everyone dies, but we can be born again through Christ and be saved forever.

I just found out about this band and their music. I like it better than a lot of other modern rock music these days because not only does it have Christian-themed lyrics, but the music is good and the singer doesn't have 1) a "whiny" pre-teen type of voice nor is he 2) screaming incoherently that I can't understand a word he's saying. I grew up listening to classic rock and alternative/grunge from the time I was very young, so I have high standards for the kind of rock music that I like.

ApologetiX - Animals I Have Begun
ApologetiX's re-version of Three Days Grace "Animal I Have Become." www.apologetix.com
Based on Genesis 2:18-25 when Adam named all of the animals but found himself with no one suitable for him, then God created Eve for him.
I can't explain this well
So many kinds of life
But I still can't yet find
Somebody friendly who is like me
I can't console myself
So, Lord, if you concede a partner's right for me
Someone to help me name these animals I have begun
Help me, please -- don't want no chimpanzees
Someone to help me name these animals
I can't just date myself
So let me find a bride
But not the dangerous type
Somebody pretty who has nice hair
I can't just hold myself
So, Lord, if you concede a partner's right for me
Someone to help me name these animals I have begun
She'll be petite and someone real sweet
Someone to help me name these animals I have begun
We'll be a team 'cause she'll agree with me
Someone to help me name these animals
Someone to help me through this life here
I can't just clone myself
Somebody shapely on my side, yeah
To share this space I dwell
So, Lord, if you concede a partner's right for me
Someone to help me name these animals I have begun
I'll be complete -- and she can clean for me
Someone to help me name these animals I have begun
Beneath the trees, we'll grab a bite to eat
Someone to help me name these animals
These animals I have begun

Lyrics:
the radio plays
on New Year's Day
and all I want is you
through the snow and the rain
on New Year's Day
all I want is you
there's a driving rain
pouring down on me
through a broken life
you have carried me
when there are no lights
you are all I see
all I want is you
all the promises made
on New Year's Day
all I want is you
and the meteors came
on New Year's Day
all I want is you
there's a driving rain
pouring down on me
through a broken life
you have carried me
when there are no lights
you are all I see
all I want is you
we came in there, through Chicago
beneath a blinding light
you came all the way from heaven
through the sorrow and the night
(I was waiting for your gift there, in the palaces of song
I knelt down to forgiveness for all I had done wrong)
and the radio plays
on New Year's Day
but all I want is you
there's a driving rain
pouring down on me
through a broken life
you have carried me
when there are no lights
you are all I see
all I want is you

Just saw "Courageous"
I finally went to see Courageous just over a week ago with my husband and I think it's a really good film. I was very touched and blessed by the film for its message. There are multiple elements to the film that a person can enjoy: good message, faith, struggles, humor, etc. The DVD/Blu-Ray is supposed to come out in January. I highly recommend the film.

Give Thanks to the Lord!
Give Thanks to the Lord!
Shout triumphantly to the LORD, all the earth.
Serve the LORD with gladness;
come before Him with joyful songs.
Acknowledge that the LORD is God.

His people, the sheep of His pasture.
Enter His gates with thanksgiving
and His courts with praise.
Give thanks to Him and praise His name.

When should we speak up about origins?
Speaking Up or Keeping Silent in Science Class
Strengthening Your Faith in College, Part 5
by Karin Viet, AiG–U.S.
November 15, 2011
First of all, it is important to remember this biblical principle:
To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven . . . a time to keep silence, and a time to speak. (Ecclesiastes 3:1, 7)
Matthew Henry commented that there is “a time when it becomes us, and is our wisdom and duty, to keep silence, when it is an evil time (Amos 5:13), when our speaking would be the casting of pearl before swine, or when we are in danger of speaking amiss (Psalm 39:2); but there is also a time to speak for the glory of God and the edification of others, when silence would be the betraying of a righteous cause, and when with the mouth confession is to be made to salvation; and it is a great part of Christian prudence to know when to speak and when to hold our peace.”
Scripture clearly states that at certain times silence is a virtue. Yet at other times remaining silent is wrong, cowardly, and traitorous. The question for many creationists is: how can we know when to “keep silence” and when to speak? While the Bible doesn’t offer a specific answer for each particular situation, it does give principles that can help you evaluate each situation you face.
Continue reading to learn some guidelines that will help you wisely assess not only when, but also how to speak up about the topic of creation vs. evolution.

Voice of the Martyrs Prayer Update for week of Nov. 18, 2011
The Voice of the Martyrs USA: www.persecution.com
“All flesh is as grass, And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, And its flowers falls away, But the word of the Lord endures forever.” 1 Peter 1:24–25
India—Ten Christians Attacked and Arrested in Karnataka State
Source: VOM Contacts
Luke 12:50–52
But I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how distressed I am till it is accomplished! Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth? I tell you, not at all, but rather division. For from now on five in one house will be divided: three against two, and two against three.
Activists from a Hindu-nationalist movement attacked members of two Christian communities on Nov. 12 and 13 in Karnataka state, accusing them of forced conversions. Ten Bajrang Dal activists stormed into Pastor H. S. Nagaraj’s Sunday service on Nov. 13, interrupting prayer and tearing a Bible to pieces. When local police arrived, they arrested the pastor and three church members. The men are still in prison. On the previous day, six believers were waiting at the Belur bus station after a prayer service when activists from the same group surrounded them and began beating and insulting them. The activists then took the six Christians to the police station, where they were arrested. Three women and a child were later released, but the two men remain in prison. There have been 40 incidents of violence against Christians in Karnataka this year. Pray that our partners will be able to help these believers and that the charges will be dropped. Pray for all Christians in India who face similar circumstances, especially in the six states that have “anti-conversion” laws.
Nigeria—Two Deadly Days for Nigerian Christians
Source: Compass Direct News
John 16:33
These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will[a] have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
Christians in northern Nigeria have been besieged by a string of recent attacks, some by the al-Qaida-affiliated Boko Haram extremist group. In the most recent incident, on Nov. 4, extremists stormed the city of Damaturu, Yobe state. One hundred fifty people were killed in the four-hour rampage — 130 of them Christians. Ten church buildings were also destroyed in the attacks, and churches that remained in operation saw a dramatic fall in attendance. On the previous day, bomb blasts in nearby Borno state killed four people. And on the same day in Kaduna state, Muslim extremists fired on a church service, killing two Christian women. The same gang raided the Christian community of Kurmin-Bi on Nov. 4, killing one Christian and injuring another. The extremists employed guerrilla tactics, striking and withdrawing, then striking elsewhere while military personnel respond to the first attack. Pray that Christians in Nigeria will know how to lovingly engage their persecutors and that the extremists will come to know the peace of Jesus Christ.
SRI LANKA—Brutal Attack on Christian Workers
Source: Release International, National Christian Evangelical Alliance of Sri Lanka
Romans 16:19
For your obedience has become known to all. Therefore I am glad on your behalf; but I want you to be wise in what is good, and simple concerning evil.
The National Christian Evangelical Alliance of Sri Lanka (NCEASL) reports that a staff member and volunteer were attacked by a gang and badly injured last month in the town of Vavuniya in Northern Province. The men were driving through town on their motorbike on the evening of Oct. 19, when they were stopped by about 12 people at a junction. The gang beat them so severely with rods and clubs that a helmet worn by one of the Christian workers was shattered. One believer suffered injuries to his head and arm, while the other suffered a broken right arm and injuries to his head and body. One of the two managed to break free and alert the police, but the gang fled before police arrived. The NCEASL workers were initially taken to a hospital in Vavuniya but were later transferred to Colombo for further treatment. The motive for the attack is uncertain, and locals say this is just the latest in a string of violent attacks on citizens in Vavuniya. Pray that the two will heal quickly and be able to return to their work.
